Since 2021 the Bundesamt für Naturschutz (BfN) randomly selects research institutions to check the compliance of the institution and their scientists, thus the implementation of the Nagoya protocol on the institutional level. This presentation introduces the procedure of a BfN User Check and suggests a ZMT database as solution to cope with the requirements for Nagoya compliance. Within this presentation the scope of the Nagoya protocol is recapitulated, but can be more extensively explored here: https://intranet.leibniz-zmt.de/share/page/site/nagoya/dashboard
