The Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research GmbH (www.leibniz-zmt.de) is an independent research and teaching institute that provides scientific knowledge for the protection and sustainable use of tropical coastal ecosystems. The working group Institutional and Behavioural Economics is (subject to release of funds) looking for a

Student assistant

(Reference: 1-IBE)

 

Your tasks:

  • Help us with administrative tasks we have to fulfil in our working group
  • Assist with the data analysis within the various projects
  • Organise events

 Requirements:

  • as a motivated and kind student at a German University
  • preferably being a student at the master level in any social science field and/or in the marine science field, but with a strong interest in social processes
  • who is interested in our topics and wants to get more insights on how such research is organised
  • being well organised and willing to help with organising events (e.g. the Leibniz Environment and Development Symposium) or any other activity which is part of the academic process (e.g. literature search, data analysis)
  • who want to get more involved in our research and potentially find together a topic for your thesis.

Details of position:

  • 20 hours/month employment starting as soon as possible. It is possible to reduce the number of hours if wished
  • Duration: one year with the possibility of an extension
  • Flexible work conditions are possible
