The wide range of scientific institutions is a decisive location factor of the state of Bremen. Bremen and Bremerhaven received Germany-wide recognition for this when they were named the first City of Science by the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft in 2005.
The annual exhibition focuses on science, which is such a decisive factor for urban and social development in the state of Bremen. In the exhibition, the supporting institutions of the House of Science provide insights into the diversity of their research: from the Bremen cog to robots and autonomous underwater vehicles, 3D printers and biological materials for automotive engineering, to new food resources from the sea, expeditions to the deep sea and an altitude research rocket.
In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to get to know the virtual HyperDiver, to approach the topic of "cells" in an artistic-experimental way, or to ponder the question of whether close relationships can actually also exist with non-human objects, such as the Werdersee.
The ZMT exhibit is one of the winning projects of the university competition dedicated to the topic of bioeconomy in the Science Year 2020/21. It was implemented at the ZMT together with the agency scienceintermedia.
