23/09/2020 | The organisers of the CAMPUS AWARD: Research for a Sustainable Future are looking for the best theses at the University of Bremen. The period for nominations starts on September 25, 2020 and runs until November 18, 2020. One doctoral thesis and one master's thesis are each will receive the prize and be rewarded with a total of 3,000 euros. Theses from all faculties of the University of Bremen can be submitted, but have to deal with questions concerning the sustainable use of resources, the protection of the environment, the climate or the oceans. The award ceremony is taking place at the University of Bremen on May 14, 2020.
What are the nomination requirements for the theses?
Nominations can be entered for theses that strengthen sustainable research with their distinctive approaches, methods, results and practical relevance. The work must be evaluated at the time of nomination. The PhD or Master thesis must have been obtained in the last two years (graduation since August 31, 2018).
Who can nominate?
Eligible to enter a nomination for the CAMPUS AWARD are ALL teaching staff at the University of Bremen (professors, private tutors - PDs, lecturers and others eligible to supervise PhD and Master theses) as well as scientific staff at an institution associated with the University according to § 96 of “Bremisches Hochschulgesetz”. A direct application from graduates is not possible.

The CAMPUS AWARD: Research for a sustainable future is a scientific prize by the KELLNER & STOLL-STIFTUNG FÜR KLIMA UND UMWELT, the Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research (ZMT), the University of Bremen and the Alumni der Universität Bremen e.V.
