11/01/2023 | Since 2020, the ZMT has hosted a ZMT Annual Conference (ZAC) for one day in January, providing a platform for scientific exchange within the institute. Although open to all types of contributions, the focus is on sharing ongoing research within the ZMT community and discussing research results, ideas, and solutions across disciplines.

The fourth event in this series will be held this year on

Tuesday, January 24 in the large seminar room in hybrid format.

After the last two gatherings had to be moved to virtual space due to COVID restrictions, ZAC 4 will be organized as a hybrid event.

The conference will address a broad range of topics reflecting the diversity of scientific focus at the ZMT. Special sessions are planned on blue carbon and on creative practices as a tool for coastal and ocean sustainability research, sessions within the ZMT's five programme areas, a workshop on the societal impact of ZMT's work and a poster session.
