We are interested in the ecological and biogeochemical processes that govern seagrass meadows, coral reefs, and fish communities in tropical coastal systems. Particular focus lies on ecological connectivity, food-web dynamics, and carbon and nutrient cycling, and on how these processes respond to environmental change and can be represented in ecosystem and Earth system modelling frameworks.
