Campus Award 2024/25: Nominate Master's theses or dissertations on the topic of sustainability
The nomination phase for the Campus Award 2024/25: Research for a Sustainable Future". has started today. Until 12 December 2024, university lecturers at the University of Bremen can nominate master's and doctoral theses on the topic of "Sustainability" for the new round of the prize, which is jointly awarded by the KELLNER & STOLL FOUNDATION FOR CLIMATE AND ENVIRONMENT, the University of Bremen, the Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research (ZMT) and the Alumni Association of the University of Bremen e.V. ". The award is endowed with a total of 3,000 euros.
Examples of nominees from previous years show how differently the topic of sustainability can be dealt with in these theses. Among other things, the works forcused on the sustainable use of resources, the protection of the environment and nature, the climate or the oceans, adaptation to climate change, technological solutions to the challenges of meeting the 1.5-degree target, the socio-ecological, economic or legal conditions for a transformation towards sustainability or new teaching models.
Master's students or doctoral candidates who have written their thesis on a sustainability topic can be nominated for the award. The Master's or doctoral thesis must have been completed and assessed at the University of Bremen after 31 August 2022.
