Research interests

As a Data Manager for the Social Sciences at ZMT, I support researchers in managing and utilizing social science data. Previously, I worked as a political science project leader, gaining experience with data management plans, data formats, informed consent forms, anonymization of qualitative interviews, and working with MaxQDA. At ZMT, I provide guidance on best practices in data management, ensure data quality, and facilitate the integration of social science data into interdisciplinary research projects. My goal is to assist researchers throughout the entire research process—from proposal writing to data archiving—to ensure their data is securely stored, accessible, and optimally utilized.

Responsibilities at ZMT:
• Developing and implementing data management strategies for social science research projects.
• Advising researchers on data management plans (DMP-Templates (Alfresco)) and best practices for data organization, documentation, and archiving.
• Ensuring the quality, integrity, and long-term availability of social science research data.
• Applying the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) to promote the sustainable use of social science data.
• Supporting qualitative data analysis, particularly using MaxQDA.
• Advising on data protection measures, including informed consent, anonymization, and secure data processing practices.
• Collaborating with international research teams to integrate social science data into interdisciplinary projects.
• Primary contact for the Qualiservice research data center for long-term data archiving.

Methodological Expertise:

  • Integration of social science methods and data into interdisciplinary research projects.
  • Application of qualitative and quantitative methods, including open and standardized interviews, group interviews, qualitative content analysis, and surveys.
  • Ensuring accessibility and sustainable use of social science research data for the scientific community.

Research Focus:

  • Doctoral research on transnational social dialogues and their mechanisms of statehood.
  • Multi-level governance in transnational spaces.
  • Impact of international framework agreements on governance structures and societal dynamics.
