Research interests

My research history has revolved around marine ecology, particularly the coral reef ecosystem. I have expanded my research interest in marine management and conservation to support biodiversity, fisheries, and human well-being over the last decade, with a focus on marine protected areas (MPAs) and other effective area-based conservation measures (OECMs); and provided science-based recommendations to inform global and/or national policy. Aside from these, I have a strong research interest and am a passionate advocate of women in STEM and co-designed science.
