25/06/2021 | On Monday, the eleventh MARE People and the Sea Conference begins. This year it is titled "Limits to Blue Growth". More than 600 scientists will meet for a week in a virtual space. There are more than 400 presentations from the field of marine social sciences on offer.
MARE is an association of seven European research institutes that work intensively on human sea interactions from a social science perspective. The Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research (ZMT) is a member of MARE.
ZMT is responsible for the virtual excursion programme, which takes particpants to Bulacan in the Philippines, Gili Island in Indonesia, Saint Louis in Senegal or Texel in the Netherlands.
